Seasoning / First-Time Usage Instructions
Follow these steps to strengthen and condition your pot:
1. Fill with water, boil on sim flame, cool completely. Repeat 4 times (do not washbefore this process).
2. Cook rice/millet/dal for the first 10 uses only on a small flame (15–20 minutes).
3. For one month, cook only water-based foods (soup, rice, dal, sambar, rasam,etc.) on small/medium flame.
4. After this, the pot is ready for regular cooking and light stir frying.
Things to Avoid
✘ Do not deep fry with oil
✘ Never heat empty cookware
✘ Avoid tadka/tempering directly inside the pot
✘ Do not use high flame
Soapstone retains heat naturally — low or medium flame is sufficient.

- Wash gently with warm water (avoid soap initially)
- Use soft scrubbers only
- Dry completely before storing
- Handle carefully to prevent drops or impacts
