Uma Raw Rice is a traditional rice variety closely associated to the culture and heritage of Kerala. Most often at temples and at households on special occasions, Unakkalari payasam or traditional rice kheer is made with this traditional variety of Rice. This organically grown rice with visible bran coating is sourced from the chemical free and naturally fertile farmlands of Wayanad. We store them with zero chemical applications so that not even a trace of nutrition is lost or not a grain gets adulterated. The low GI, unpolished bran rice is also rich in antioxidants, fiber, minerals, protein and vitamins. Also tastes good in combination with Indian curries.
